Season Archive

promotion job done

well we said at the start of the season , we will be there or there abouts at the end of the season,
we had a very shakey start which continued all season,
whilst having to start the season's early games without key players through injury and illness.
we stuttered and gave silly goals away, relying on others to do it for us, losing games we shouldnt not of lost, against teams that were bottom , this is after trashing them a few weeks earlier,
but still we fought hard in the league and was in top spot and to be fair the lads were exspected to win it ,
unfortunatly after all the hard work beating every team in the league at least once, twice on many occasions we were found wanting in our final game, which could of won us the league, our season over and the best team losing,
still we got promoted whilst building a team, in our 1st season at 11 aside, and most importantly we are progressing,
we played the best football in this league buy far, and i truely believe if we'd have had all players fit for all games we would of done it,
next season we will get promoted to div 2 and again promotion will be the target, but we will pass that ball until it goes flat, and work as a unit /team/ squad to get through games, we wont be winning 14 nil next season, so we have to be disaplinned and commited to the team,
very proud of the lads who play for us ,
there's no doubt they can really play but we have to learn now to not only pressure the opposition but control the ball's movement, this can only be done if the players want the ball and want too work for the group, and move and call wen ever the team needs you.
i thank all parents and club supporters helpers.
oooohhhhhh arrrrrh oaty barrrrr, evil monkies rule, you'll see,
who's next,
